Entry feature construction, Blue Devil access, pond landscaping and the future Chaparral Valley pathway
Development continues at Chaparral Meadows, with several new community features and connections coming soon.
Located in southeast Calgary near the Bow River, Fish Creek Provincial Park and Blue Devil Golf Club, Chaparral Meadows is being developed as a boutique community of approximately 300 homes. And first impressions matter.
Construction on the community’s entry feature is scheduled to begin in September 2026, adding an important visual landmark to the arrival experience. As more homes are completed and the surrounding streets and landscaping take shape, the entry feature will help establish a recognizable identity as Chaparral Meadows continues to evolve from a new development into an established community.
A new connection to Blue Devil
Residents of Chaparral Meadows are getting a shortcut to the golf course. The Blue Devil Golf Club access road opens in late September, making it much easier for the community to hit the links.
Blue Devil sits within the Fish Creek river valley, offering an 18-hole course, the nine-hole Lil Devil course and a clubhouse with the King & Devil Tap & Grill Restaurant overlooking the 18th hole.
The new access from Chaparral Meadows to Blue Devil will make it even easier for residents to take advantage of this nearby recreational amenity. And for homeowners who particularly value the accessibility to the course, some of the community’s front-drive lots offer premium golf course views.

Landscaping around the pond takes shape
Chaparral Meadows sets itself apart by offering a natural setting in an urban environment, and landscaping will play a significant role in bringing that setting into the community.
Sections of landscaping around the community pond are scheduled for completion this fall and in spring 2027. The pond won’t just be a place to visit – it will be an active, beautiful backdrop to daily life in the community.
The connection to the outdoors extends beyond the community itself. Chaparral Meadows sits near the Bow River valley system and Fish Creek Provincial Park, where residents have access to extensive pathways, natural areas, and recreational opportunities.
The city’s pathway network connects communities and destinations throughout the city, including routes along the Bow River and through Fish Creek.

Future pathway connection to Chaparral Valley
The public utility space, which includes landscaping and a pathway connecting Chaparral Meadows and Chaparral Valley, is expected to be completed in the summer of 2027.
The new link will provide another way for residents to move between the two communities while strengthening the pedestrian experience around Chaparral Meadows.
For a community designed around connections – to nature, recreation and neighbouring communities – these paths are essential in making it easier for residents to get outside, take a walk, head out for a bike ride, or simply explore the area on foot.
It also builds on the advantages of Chaparral Meadows’ location, which, in addition to the 19 square kilometres of protected parkland in Fish Creek Provincial Park, includes access to nearby destinations such as Sikome Lake and Woof Willow Off-Leash Park.
